When monitoring is needed on a contracted trip, R & M Rides assigns a dedicated monitor who stays with the rider from door pickup through arrival — calm, consistent support for sensory needs and day-program handoffs.
No curb-side scramble. If the assigned trip requires a seat, R & M Rides brings one installed and ready before pickup.
We do not leave riders at the curb. Assigned monitors pick up at the door and walk riders into the appointment or day program.
R & M Rides drivers complete contracted trips in personal vehicles and sedans. These vehicles are dedicated to our MassHealth and Human Service Transportation work — we do not mix open public rides on the same fleet because of contract and insurance requirements.
R & M Rides is a contracted vendor for MART (Montachusett Regional Transit Authority) Human Service Transportation at mrta.us. We deliver broker-assigned MassHealth and agency trips and coordinate with facilities on program routes within that contracted work.
When a medication trip is assigned to R & M Rides, our drivers pick up prescriptions at the pharmacy and deliver them to the member's door — confirmed at handoff, so treatment never waits on transportation.
When a discharge trip is assigned to R & M Rides through our contracted channels, we stay in contact with discharge planners so riders leave once medically cleared — without long waits at the curb.
